New Release: Forager 2024
Just in time for Christmas, we're releasing our first dessert wine made from Pinot Gris.
As this variety ripens, the grapes turn a deep pink and begin to taste amazingly sweet. Hanging on the vines until the very end of harvest into October, they were the last fruit we picked in 2024. In the press, the grapeskins added a wonderful blush colour to the juice and we stopped the ferment early in the winery to keep a natural sweetness.
The result is our first Late Harvest wine, that tastes just like a ripe Pinot Gris grape from the Autumn vine. With abundant hedgerow fruits and lasting natural sweetness, this blush pink indulgent treat is perfect with desserts, dried fruits and blue cheese.
Artwork: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features a Gladwin famly painting. The Victorian glass cloche filled with magical exotic birds by Bridget Gladwin reflects the wild spirit of the forager, out harvesting in Autumn. You might recognise it from the triptych hanging in our wine lodge!
Nutbourne Forager 2024 is now available at the vineyard cellar door, our online shop and at our Local & Wild London restaurants in a 50cl half-litre bottle. Taste it for yourself →
