Experience life in the vineyard from Summer to Harvest

We are offering an opportunity to spend 6 months working as a General Assistant in our beautiful boutique vineyard. You will be involved in all aspects of grape growing, wine production and hospitality.

Nutbourne has 10 hectares under vine and all aspects of production take place here on site. Each year the vineyard owners take on two assistants for this summer season – from May to October.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help with all aspects of the vineyard operation. This includes working in the vines, winery, cellar door, tours and events. Our team members work approximately 40 hours per week over 5 days, including most Saturdays throughout the summer. The job will culminate in the Grape Harvest in October – this is a fantastic time of year, hard work but highly rewarding.

We are looking for people with knowledge or qualification in Viticulture, but more importantly, enthusiasm to become part of our motivated, hard working team. Previous General Assistants have gone on to permanent roles in the London wine trade, joined other UK producers or travelled to do similar paid work-experience in other wine regions around the world.

Salary will be £500 per week depend on experience. Employees will be expected to find and pay for their own accommodation in the local area. Full details of the job description will be discussed at interview.
