As the name suggests, this is a wine that captures the essence of the Sussex landscape.
It is off-dry, made from a blend of our Riesling-style German varietals, including fruit from our forty-year-old vines.
A blend of Bacchus, Huxelrebe and Schönburger creates a beautifully rounded wine with a big wildflower bouquet and an abundance of hedgerow fruits.

Hedgerow is not as sweet as a dessert wine but has richness and character to cope with big flavoured foods.
It pairs well with strong blue cheeses, chicken liver paté, game terrines and orchard fruit desserts.
Our recipe for Beetroot Tarte Tatin with Goat’s Cheese is another dish that compliments the full fruit and aromatic flavours of Hedgerow, with the sweetness of the beetroot, savoury Goat’s cheese and freshness of the foraged herbs.

The art: Just as Nutbourne wines are only made from grapes grown on the estate, every bottle features Bridget Gladwin’s paintings. Our vineyards are protected by the South Downs and from the ridge of the Downs there are wonderful views like this patchwork of colours, angles and textures.
